they expect to sell a few thousand in the USA, though the obvious market for a car like this is Europe !

Mercury sales have dropped 30% in the last 2 years...and with no real new models to show off, dealers are starting to wonder whether there still is a future in the brand or not.
An article in the Detroit News even hints that Mercury might go the oldsmobile / Plymouth road....
We can expect Ford to announce the fate of Mercury by the fourth quarter of this year.

Cadillac's new CTS-V just managed to lap the Nürburgring in 7:59.32 — that makes it the fastest production sedan ever to take the ring! With a projected 567 HP, tightened suspension, magnetic ride control, fancy-pants electro-mechanical rear end and a bodacious six speed at the ready, John Heinricy, executive with GM Performance Division piloted The Sedan to it's sub-eight-minute bragging rights. We wonder how the Germans feel about all this..

Intended as Buick's first global design for international markets, the Invicta is a 4-door sedan with a coupe-like roofline. The Invicta Concept is slated to be the saving replacement of the the Buick LaCrosse.
